I went with my son to the lab the other day… not because he needs mommy to tag along, but he likes the company.
And really, does anyone ENJOY going to the doctor alone!?!
Anyhow, while we’re waiting for him to get called back, he starts telling me about his camera.
He said it’s super small and it looks like something sticky got into it somehow.
I asked if he’d tried a q-tip. Of course he had… he’s my kid! 😉 But it was too big.
I told him maybe a toothpick would be small enough… but you’d really hate for it to break and then have wood stuck in there too!
So the next thing he says is that he got his can of compressed air out to see if that’d work.
I looked at him and, completely straight-faced said, “Yeah no. Sticky don’t blow.”
We both looked at each other. Then we started laughing. I told him this is why he loves his mama. Cuz who’s house is he ever gonna visit where “sticky don’t blow” is just a normal kinda phrase that someone’s gonna use in a serious conversation!?!
And oh yeah. He did get the flash fixed. Some nice camera techie guy did a post, complete with step-by-step photos that showed how to take it apart (without breaking it… that’s an important step).
I wish I knew techie guy’s name so I could give him proper credit and say thanks. I’ll have to ask my son if he remembers.
Take care,
