I just heard on the radio today that the popular toys for Christmas are retro toys from the 70s and 80s.
The bad news is…. I’m now old enough to be considered “retro”… that whole “oldies but goodies” thing.
The good news is… Christmas shopping is gonna take a lot less time and money… I already made my list of what to go get out of storage! =)
My wish is that it’s completely green and pure gold for you (and that you don’t get pinched)! 🙂
You know, I remember getting dressed in green and going to the St. Patrick’s Day parade as a kid, but we just don’t do that anymore.

How appropriate… The day I decide it’s time to start on this whole intermittent fasting plan, my starting weight is 166.6!
I have some specific goals, such as getting my weight down, lowering my cholesterol, slowing down perimenopause hot flashes, healthier skin and hair, and having more energy.
The main question being… is it possible to do this while I’m on the road working?

Everyone seems to agree on what year Baby Boomers got started. Birth data, not to mention the end of a war, makes it easy. However, it’s tough to find a consensus on the exact year of when to declare that the Baby Boomers stop & Generation X begins.
It makes sense though. It’s a lot like saying that the day before your 18th birthday you’re NOT an adult, but suddenly at midnite…ta-da!… you’re all grown up. Yeah right. …
I have a small scar underneath my eyebrow on my right toward the my nose. I got it when I was around six or seven years old.
My neighbors on one side has two daughters and two sons. My neighbor on the other side had two boys, Kenny and Billy.
Joy and I spent a lot of time hanging out and playing with Kenny and Billy and occasionally we would get in a fight with them too. One day, I got really mad at Kenny (I don’t remember why) but I remember chasing him over to his house and, when I got there, I picked up one of those big fat wiffleball bats, backed him up against the wall of his house, and hit him across his chest with it.
Of course Kenny was around the same age, so it probably did hurt him. Even if it didn’t, I do know it made him mad. …
Good gosh! All those thoughts that start when you lay down to sleep for the night! You know the ones I’m talking about… the useless, good for nothing BUT keeping you awake thoughts that you just can’t get rid of… Like they couldn’t have come to mind while you were wandering through your day and awake anyway!?! Of course not!!
To add insult to injury (and lack of beauty sleep), most of the time, they’re not even productive thoughts! Take for instance when I couldn’t get to sleep earlier this week. Was I thinking about world peace or how to change my life into the type of life I’ve dreamed of… of course not.
Believe it I just finished listening to Casey Kasem’s Top 40 from the week ending September 10, 1983!
So cool! I remember what a big part of our life Casey Kasem was every week when I was a teenager. He had such a unique voice. Even if you didn’t know what radio station he was going to be on, all you had to do was flip through the stations until you heard that voice coming across the airwaves and you knew you were there.
40 of our favorite songs that we have listened to all week long… Patiently waiting to see which one was going to be number one! And always such a letdown when it was over because you felt like it was time for a friend to leave. …
